Nerd Poker DnD Characters!

    Guys, if you have even the most marginal interest in Dungeons and Dragons or comedy, you should listen to the Nerd Poker podcast with Brian Posehn and Friends! It's a great collection of comedians and writers on a DnD adventure and it's hilarious. 

    Above are my designs for their party members. First is Brian Posehn's Goliath Barbarian who's big on brawn and short on brains, he also knows about boats and murdering ladies. Next up is the Dragonborn Fighter, Bartha Shett, played by Ken Daley. The handsom guy in the middle is Blain Capatch's Blackee Green, Half-Elf Warlock and all round cool guy! The super naked Elf Shaman is    Gerry Dugan's Ell Ryan with his trusty Spirit Bear. And finally, the sensible Dwarf, Mildred Maxton with her knobby knees. 

Three Blind Mice

A few sketches based off of a story concept I had in my intro to sequential art class. It involved a group of lab rats making a break for freedom through a maze and finding the legendary cheese they've only heard of in stories. Below are some of the assorted mice who were heavily experimented on.



My favorite, design-wise. I like the idea of back-mounted lightbulbs. She's the most retro looking one, so for now we'll assume she was the first.



This experiment "sees" through echolocation. A good excuse to put a speaker system on a mouse.



The first one I worked on. His mechanical parts are based off of a deconstructed infrared mouse. The most menacing, if you ask me. These were alot of fun, expect more of these down the line.

Avatar Kurma

Kurma, the second avatar of Vishnu. Brush pen and tech pen. I fell in love with the designs of the avatars of Vishnu ever since I did a poster displaying all ten in my high-school world's religions class with the wonderful Karen Reeves!
His overall design and silhouette are inspired by a lotus. I used my favorite turtle, the red banded slider, as the base with sea turtle flippers. He goes into "swim mode" by orienting himself horizontal and using the fins as propellers.
