Iceman

I almost forgot about this drawing. I did it for a friend at Fluke this year. We both are Iceman fans, and boy is it the year for Iceman between what Remender is doing with the evil, parallel version of him in X-Force and Aaron's more matured version in Wolverine and the X-men, Iceman is enjoying so rare time in the sun.

Phoenix Five Cyclops

So Avengers vs X-Men is reaching half-time with issue 6, and I have to say that this book is big goofy popcorn fun. My friends thought I was just rereading the issue 6 a thousand times, but I was just pouring over Laura Martin's wonderful colors. I have to say Cyclops' Phoenix Five costume is pure concentrated nineties on the page, and I love it.

Meanwhile, in Japan.

Secret Six Pokemon

Last quick sketch for Pokemon week, DC's Secret Six as Pokemon. From left to right; Cat Man, Rag Doll, Scandal Savage, Bane, Jeanette, and Deadshot as Meowth, Mr.Mime, Sneasel, Machoke, Meloetta and Octillery, respectively.

Jirachi Gold

Jirachi as Blue Beetle's best bud Booster Gold, complete with ads. Quick minute pen sketch colored in photoshop. If you really are a pokemon nerd, you'll notice the logos on his head are from Silph Co. and the P1 Pokemon league from the anime.

Heracross as the Blue Beetle. Only seemed natural. Short sketch colored in photoshop.

And our film's villain Mr.Potter. Both sketches done in toned markers. I swear Lionel Barrymore is the father of Ed Asner ,aka Ed Wuncler from the Boondocks.

The American Lobster

Another addition to the Hellboy-Avengers. The pulp-hero of the Hellboy universe plus Captain America seemed like a perfect fit for this sketch.

Owl PJs sketch

The Boy in the Owl Pajamas, the main character from a short comic of the same name. It was part of my psych final involving dream interpretation. The inspiration is a cowardly version of Max from Where the Wild Things are.
